Order Flow for Beginners

Structural Trade Setups

Learn statistically frequent trade opportunities that occur nearly every day on ES E-mini Index Futures and how to trade them using information contained within the order flow traded volume using Footprint charts.

No proprietary indicators are used. You will learn how to read the Footprint from the raw volume data. With this understanding you can then qualify and utilise platform features or add-on tools as productivity aids, not ‘magic indicators’.

All classes are recorded enabling subsequent review and students enrol in our online chat community for homework, review and Q&A.

Upon course completion, the student receives one weeks’ free membership of Trading Research Group enabling them to continue their order flow trading education.

Course Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of the futures market
  • Awareness of trading platforms (no trading platform is required for this course)
  • Familiarity with the concepts presented in the Booklist’s titles

Students are required to approach the courses with an open mind and not try to fit what they are learning into their existing trading/indicator framework. The pace of training is fast, and there is limited time to debate the value of other approaches and limited tolerance from the instructors and other students for this.

By joining this bootcamp, the student understands and agrees that we are presenting a statistically driven stand alone approach to trading equity index futures and that they will leave prior learned concepts (trends, pivots, MACD cross, RSI, Bollinger Bands, support/resistance, etc.) at the door in order to accelerate their ability to absorb the material being presented.

It is our teaching experience that the best way to learn this trading technique is to look at it “through the eyes of a child” – as a Tabula Rasa, blank slate – since it may contradict concepts you may believe to be important, but that in this approach are a dangerous distraction.

Booklist

We strongly recommend reading the following titles prior to our courses:

  • Thinking In Bets: Annie Duke
  • Blink: Malcolm Gladwell
  • Markets in Profile: James Dalton
